For Honor 06:13
The heroes start in their journey from one region of Alkazure to another, How will it end?
2.
Hey, journey's aren't easy to make Especially when it's across these isles But, I'm sure this journey won't be long No two people could fight forever, Right? Someone Told me that Long time ago Can't quite remember who I reckon' they have a nice singing voice They could hum me a nice tune This journey will be started for greater purposes After-all The long lasting question Who would want to fight forever?

Comfort 02:14
We find comfort In tales from our past An old man is shaking Shaking his last I've searched the rivers and streets for days, Striding in faith To find our own ways Crusades On mountain tops In hopes we'd find A beating heart Crusades On mountain tops In fear that we'd Find none I've searched in valleys, Gazed at the stars Just to find peace Deep in our thoughts Crusades On mountain tops In hopes we'd find A beating heart Together through The mountain top In solace now We'd all find none I've searched in valleys, Gazed at the stars Just to find peace Deep in our thoughts

Memories 02:56
Grasping at the memories that I can't seem to get, Grasping at the thoughts that I have burrowed Grasping at the memories that I can't seem to get, Grasping at the thoughts that I have burrowed Dug them so far Groundhogs could starve In the deepest caves Where no one can find me They can't be found They can't be found In me

Fall's Theme 01:17

12.
When the reaper comes, For the taking at dawn, The harvest sets its tusks At dusk, When the ashes of this body burn, A new one will be born, Another to be reaped, Another to be sewn One day We will all be healed

Where 01:06
Where do we go? Do we seek the light? Do we see the future? Are our eyes blinded? One day we will find out what we want One day we will find out what we need Until then, We wait for our final days

Corruption seeks, The rivers burn, The waves toss, the tides turn But one day, we'll set free / we'll be free I see people, They want shelter They carve out cards To talk with each other But if two people can't fight forever Why do ideas have to?

Epilogue 01:01
23.
I see others, Lying in the grass Little do they know, It won't be this peaceful When I get back Home, It's where I'm safe, Not where I live When an empire falls A new one will be built on top of it That's how it's been That's how it'll always be I see how it goes, I see how it begins One land's mistake Leads to another man's death Wars started, Over pointless disputes Just for profit with Mindless violence When an empire falls, A new one will be rebuilt That's how it's been, That's how it'll always be, Our intentions to rule Overpower our want to learn The only way we'll win Is when we all surrender When an empire falls, A new one will be rebuilt That's how it's been, When an empire falls, A new one will be rebuilt That's how it's been, That's how it'll always be

about

This is the original soundtrack for Solace, a student game project I did in my senior year of my undergraduate. Link to game and to the audio files of the narration TBA.

I've always seen two types of projects out there. There's the type of projects that I can take as long as I want on, and then there's the type of project that's fueled by a deadline.

Solace started out as a student game project to be an introductory to my fictional world - Alkazure. In this story, I allowed a character who won't be shining much in the future shine - Abraham. He's going through with seven friends to deliver a peace treaty and find some rude awakenings.

I ended up being the only person able to work on the game itself. I came to a sad conclusion - Only the prototype would be able to be finished. My skills were not at the point where I would have liked them to be.

We quickly got word that our college was closing - When we got word, my peers in the Music and Computer Information System departments swooped in to help me make sure this project would at least have something to show before I left the building.

In reaction to this, they helped the touches that crafted not only a soundtrack and bringing life to the story and prototype, but letting one door (our college) close and letting another door (Alkazure as a world) open. My hope is to release something Alkazure related every year until I get around to releasing my magnum opus.

Until then, we leave you with this soundtrack where we cover a broad amount of topics - Hatred forever, death, children, purpose, pondering, conflicts, memories, and more into an hour long epic. I hope you enjoy. Script that we used as a draft included as a file to show my appreciation.

"When an empire falls
A new one will be rebuilt
That's how it'll be,
That's how it's always been"
